February babies

Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003 - 3:05 PM

Today: Eating a mutant cherry tomato. It's huge!

Song: I love my life!

Dream scribble: This one is from a couple of nights ago. I dreamt that my dog J, died. He got into a big fight with another dog and was hurt so badly that he had to put to sleep. I told my mom about this dream and she didn't like it one bit. I also dreamt a few nights ago that I went to watch a movie and it turned out to have some very graphic sex scenes in it and I was embarrassed watching it.

I have this temporary site up and yet I still do not update regularly. I am a dunce.

I tried to put up pics from my birthday dinner but I forgot about Diaryland's Gold membership (which I used to have). Without it, you cannot put any pics up. Sucks! I am not about to pay for another year of Gold for a temp site. Anyways, dinner was at an Indian place (yum!) and the obligatory drinking afterwards. I have "on & off" drinking days. Sometimes I can drink like a fish and other times, I'll have a lil and not want anymore at all. My fickle drinking moods.

I received a lovely Valentine from Cyn. She's so artistically talented! No picture because my phone is being moody and does not feel like sending the pic to my email.

There are so many February babies! I guess May is a popular month for nookie. Me, (I think I've mentioned this before) I'm an anniverary baby. So tonight I am going out to dinner with my praise team for a dongseng's birthday. He's turning 15 and he's 10 years younger than me. 10 years! I don't remember being 15 that long ago!

I organized tonight's bday dinner and my mom asked me if they (the praise team) had done anything for me for my bday. I said no but that does not give me reason to neglect their birthdays right? I don't think that's right. Besides I am the oldest of them after all (even though they are not lil children but all in high school and up) and I should be taking care of and watching over the younger ones. I think people take the being oldest thing the wrong way. Yes it does warrant you to respect and such but it's a 2 way street. I could not just sit there and have them respect me and do everything while I order them around. I think with being the oldest in a family or group of people like my praise team, means more responsiblity. The older ones should work harder and set a good example to the younger kids. People, especially kids, don't learn from what you tell them to do but instead, from your own actions. I think this goes for the workplace also. It's difficult for me to respect "higher ups" that can so easily order everyone around but won't get their own hands dirty. I hope to treat my praise team with respect and humility so that they can learn how to treat others by it being shown to them and not told.
