Can you believe it is already the third month of the year? How time flies. I just realized that I, lil Key, was born in the shortest month of the year. How fitting. *grin*

Met up with Phil for dinner (which he ate SO little of and got in trouble for by the waitress. Haha!) We talked and talked and I laughed A LOT cuz he's just so funny like that. You crack me up man. He had to be a big manly man and pay for everything. *rolling eyes* Sheesh! Thanks for taking me out. =)

The following is a poem I found while cleaning out my desk the other day. It was written for me by a guy I used to know. His feelings for me were much much stronger than mine were for him. He also had some kind of misconception about our "relationship", taking it much more seriously than what it really was. Anyways it took me a while to get rid of him and needless to say, things didn't end on a good note. But I re-read this poem, looking at it from a completely unbiased point of view, and had to admit that it was pretty well written. Well anyways here it is:

Lavender Jade

There I stood, in the midst of my day
Without a care in the world, and nothing occurring to my dismay

I am in the center of my arena, Maximus, a man of might
When through the door, comes a stream of beautiful light.

Instead of approaching me, it turned in the opposite direction
Willing it to come back to become the object of my affection.

And as I turned to continue the melee with the other scavengers
I felt the presence of the light approach, surrounding me in lavender.

My body surged, my mind sparked, my sprit reveled
But I had to remind myself to remain leveled.

This lavender light surrounded me completely and my mind became sharp
And could handle anything, especially with the strength of my heart

Sense of humor is the characteristic that that charmed the light
And it lingered through as the day turned to night

But who would have thought the light would shine with me
Especially after it spoke those memorable words: “We’ll see”

As the light remained somber, I became drunk by its mere presence
And felt as if that it was from heaven that sent this.

Yet this light, can try the patience of even the strongest of men
Yet little does it realize it has underestimated the power of my zen

But as I reached out to feel the warmth of the light
I felt the presence of a woman with heart locked very tight

And as I reached into the light to embrace her
I began to foresee the joy and wisdom that eventually will come sooner or later

And as I became closer to the light, I sensed her fear
But a light needs a shadow that should always be near

And that’s what the light found, a shadow she can trust
A shadow that sees beyond the physical entities of life, including lust

As the shadow and light became closer, life became simpler as it’s supposed to fit
And a bond developing that is far from counterfeit

And who would have thought it would arrive on any given day
When one would have thought love would stay far away

And the echoes of the past seem no longer visible
As I look at the Lavender Jade feeling so kissable

What makes it seem great, is the person I still can be
Not a change is necessary, the same guy you know is me

When the sun rises and sets the light and shadow never fade
I realized all that when I met the Lavender Jade
