Today: Slightly sore from snowboarding

Song: If it's love, if it really is, it's there in his kiss

Yay we get off from work early today for President's day! Which means Jen, Dave and I are taking a lil road trip to Rutgers to go play with Peter. Woo hoo!!

I went snowboarding on Saturday and I DID NOT BREAK ANYTHING!! That's a big achievement for someone so unathletic. It was hard and I am slightly sore (not as sore as Jen though, >=) Heh heh heh!) but it was so incredibly fun! Jen and I practiced for a bit before gettin on the lift since it was the first time for us. Everyone else had gone about 2 or 3 times already. I had no fear of falling as I thought I would. It didn't hurt anwyays cuz it was snow. And it was fun too! So after a while we decided to get on the lift. It was one of those gondola type lifts so that all 8 of us got to go together. The ride up there was pretty fun too. We were joking about how we should just keep riding the lift back and forth.

Once we got to the top, I wasn't laughing anymore. I looked down and thought, "Oh shit. How am I gonna get down?" This kid who's pretty good at boarding stayed with me and Jen to help us down. We just kept falling and falling. And the hard part was gettin up after you fell with that stupid board attached to your feet!! I kept sliding towards the left or the right, where there was no snow. So I had to keep taking off my board and walk to the middle and start all over again. It was getting kinda frustrating but still fun nonetheless. Jen and I were stuck on that first part of the mountain for so long that the others had time to go down once and come back up on the lift and WE WERE STILL THERE! Hahaha!

After a while I took off my board and just sat on it and started sliding down on it like a sled. Towards the bottom half of the mountain I decided to give it another try. I did and I actually stood and learned to stop without falling. I was so proud of myself! One word of warning: The snow on the bottom of the hill is different from the top. I didn't know and I fell, thinking it wouldn't hurt. Ouch!! It was icy and hard and I think I bruised my tailbone. Other than that, I have no injuries. Just a bit sore but I'm all ready to go again in a couple of weeks. =)

On a completely different note, this is a pic of my mommy in one of her hanbok's, a Korean traditional dress. Doesn't she look so pretty? This was taken last Sunday at our church's 5 year anniversary.

And who's this lil girl? Heh heh~
